Dear World,

My name is Leonie, I’m 24 years old, half Swiss and half German, and I recently completed my Bachelor’s degree in Social Work. After finishing my studies, I decided to take a few months to explore the world, meet new people, and immerse myself in meaningful experiences. 🌎🌞

One of the most impactful parts of my journey so far was my time in Madagascar, where I volunteered in a children’s orphanage for a couple of weeks this summer. There, I supported the daily routines, spent time with the kids, and helped create a warm, safe, and playful environment. I also gained hands-on experience in gardening, assisting with small farming tasks and learning more about sustainable and eco-friendly practices, something that continues to inspire me. 🌱

During my studies, I had the opportunity to gain professional experience working with toddlers, children, teenagers, people with intellectual disabilities, and in youth welfare services.

Previously, I also spent several months in France working as an Au Pair, which strengthened my French skills and I’m always excited to keep improving my language abilities whenever I get the chance!

Overall, I’m an open-minded, motivated, and hands-on person who loves animals, enjoys nature, and doesn’t mind getting my hands dirty. I’m always happy to help wherever support is needed.

Through my studies and personal interests, I’ve always enjoyed being surrounded by and working with a diverse range of people. 😊
I have gained experience working with children and teenagers, which has deepened my passion for being around young people.
I also love spending time in nature and enjoy being near the sea or in the presence of water in any form haha 🌊 I have no problem getting my hands dirty when working outdoors!
As a true animal lover, I would also be more than happy to take care of animals or work with them in any capacity :)
