  • Description

Hi! My name is Lene, and I'm from a small coastal village in Norway. For the past seven years, I’ve been living in Oslo, working in the film and theatre industry – a life filled with creativity, people, and energy. Now, I’m ready for a change. I feel a strong pull towards nature, slower days, and meaningful connections.

I'm using this Workaway journey to reconnect with the simple things: working with my hands, being close to animals, learning new skills, and experiencing different ways of living. I’m curious by nature and excited to contribute wherever I can – whether that’s in the garden, the kitchen, with animals, or in creative projects.

What brings me joy is dancing in the rain, singing just for fun, swimming in the sea, riding horses, and sharing good conversations around a table. I love the quiet beauty of nature, the warmth of community, and the feeling of being part of something real.

  • More details about your skills

I’m a creative and adaptable person who enjoys meaningful work and learning by doing. Over the years, I’ve gained experience in different areas – from organizing cultural projects to working in a bar, taking care of elder people, helping my parents in the garden, painting walls etc.

I’ve worked with film and theatre, which has made me comfortable working with people of all ages and in dynamic environments. I’m not afraid to get my hands dirty, I learn quickly, and I take pride in doing things properly – whether it’s weeding a garden, helping out with animals or children, or assisting with a creative project.

Beyond specific skills, I bring a calm, curious, and reliable presence. I love being part of a team, but I’m also independent and happy to take initiative when needed.

  • What else ...

I love stories in all forms – books, films, songs, and conversations that go deep. I enjoy writing, drawing, and exploring new places with a notebook in my bag. I also love playing board games, swimming in the ocean, singing (for fun) and drinking coffee.

I find peace in nature, especially by the sea or in a quiet forest, and I’m always up for spontaneous adventures, whether that means a walk in the rain or learning how to make a new dish.

Mostly, I try to stay open – to people, to ideas, to experiences. I believe that some of the best moments in life come when you’re not quite sure what’s coming next.
