I want to lead a life of meaning, connection and purpose! I am a post-graduate who has traditionally (and subconsciously) succeeded using fear and shame-based motivation, which has brought emotional exhaustion and spiritual poverty. Now, I want to reconnect with my sense of curiosity and wonder, and develop an internal sense of motivation. I feel most at peace when surrounded by nature. People around me say that I am resilient, resourceful, and creative. I studied International Relations (Development and Cooperation), and believe that the greatest positive impacts are made at the local level. I am passionate about the global Labour Movement, human and workers' rights, and sustainability. Eventually, I would like to become a community leader either abroad or back in my hometown, and I am confident volunteering through Workaway would help me become a well-rounded leader.

I was a Girl Guide (like the Boy Scouts) for most of my childhood, so I am comfortable in nature and remote environments. My current hobbies include hand-sewing garments and identifying bugs, birds, plants, etc.
Although I have lost some muscle strength due to multiple years of studying and desk/office work, I am incredibly resourceful and will always find a way to make things work! I have experience growing a small vegetable garden, building a deck, repairing moldy wood, manual and electric sanding, painting, etc.

I am interested in philosophy, politics, activism, and building a solar punk world. I play guitar, I like to read science-fiction, and I am interested in learning Buddhist meditation practices, yoga, tai chi, etc. Also, I LOVE cats!
