Hey! We’re Lara and Ale from Switzerland.
We quit our jobs (Lara was a primary school teacher, Ale worked in logistics) to travel the world for a year. Our route takes us through Asia, Oceania, New-Zealand, South America, and Africa, and we’re excited to discover new places, meet people, and learn about different ways of life.
We think Workaway is a great way to connect with locals and other travelers, help out, and share experiences. We’re open, easygoing, and always ready to learn something new – whether it’s helping/teaching with kids, working with animals, gardening, or anything else that comes our way.

Yes, definitely! Lara is a trained primary school teacher and has experience teaching German, English, and French. She really enjoys helping others learn languages and is happy to support anyone who wants to practice or improve. We’re also both curious and open to learning new languages ourselves – it’s a fun part of traveling and connecting with people. So whether it’s teaching or learning, we’re both up for it!

In our downtime, we like playing card games (especially together – things can get competitive 😄), reading, and just enjoying the moment. We’re always happy to try new activities, learn new things, and meet interesting people along the way.
