Description
Hello! My name is Koharu.
I’m a second-year university student in Japan, studying agriculture. I love connecting with people from all over the world, learning about different cultures, chatting, and enjoying local food together.
Through Workaway, I hope to make friends around the world and broaden my perspective.
I’ve had two wonderful experiences as a WWOOFer — one month in New Zealand and another month in Canada, where I helped with various farm tasks. Both experiences were amazing, and I still keep in touch with my host families.
I have many hobbies, including cooking, baking, bread making, running, tennis, traveling, and watching movies. I often post photos of the sweets I make on my Instagram account: @koharutt_0611
.
Every morning, I go for a run — it’s one of my favorite ways to start the day!
I’m a polite, friendly, and positive person who always tries my best to help. My English is still improving, but I truly enjoy communicating with people from different countries.
I’m really looking forward to meeting new people, learning new things, and sharing wonderful experiences together. 🌸 -

More details about your skills
I have experience doing farm stays in New Zealand and Canada, each for one month.
Thanks to these experiences, I’m confident with farm work and enjoy working outdoors.
I also love cooking, baking, and bread making, and I’m quite good at them! During my stays in New Zealand and Canada, I often cooked Japanese food and homemade cakes for my hosts, which they really enjoyed.
I’m always happy to help with household chores such as laundry, cleaning, and washing dishes, and I take pride in doing them carefully and responsibly.
I have a younger sister, so I’m used to taking care of children. I love spending time with kids — playing together, doing sports, or helping them learn something new.
I would also be delighted to share Japanese culture, food, and language, and in return, I’d love to learn about your country’s culture.
Whatever task I’m given, I always do it with responsibility, positivity, and commitment until the end. -

At Maree’s house, I mainly helped with taking care of the cats, cleaning, and doing some simple knitting for Christmas. The work was usually finished in the morning, and every Tuesday, I had the opportunity to help at a local community café.
