Hello!
My name is Kiara, I’m 18 years old and from Hamburg, Germany. I live with my parents and my 14-year-old little sister – my favourite person in the world! This year, I graduated from high school and I am now starting an exciting new adventure with my trip to Australia!
I’m an active person who loves spending time outdoors and exploring nature. Animals have always played a big role in my life – ever since I was little, I dreamed of having a dog and begged my parents for one (Unfortunately they didn’t allow it but we made a compromise and did dog sitting sometimes. A little hamster lady was the only pet I could finally convince them of). In 2016, I started with horse riding and still do it once a week. For the past two years, I’ve also been teaching children’s riding groups, which I truly enjoy! The groups consist of kids between six and eleven years and I really like to spend time with them and watch them improve their riding skills.
About three months ago, I started working at a large restaurant which is a tourist hotspot in Hamburg and has 120 tables. There, I’m responsible for my own station and take care of everything: from taking orders to handling payments and cleaning the tables for the next guests.
Besides riding, I like swimming, skiing, reading and creative activities like painting. I’m open-minded, not afraid to get my hands dirty, and always eager to learn new things.
Moreover, I don’t smoke, have completed a first aid course and own a drivers license (international).
I’m excited to meet new people and experience life in a different country and household!!

I completed my “Abitur” (german high school diploma) with English as one of my main subjects and would love to keep improving my language skills. Especially when it comes to speaking, I’m eager to practice more and become more confident in conversations.

I have a lot of experience with kids through my work at the barn and love to work with them. I learned a lot while teaching and became more patient, empathetic and responsible.
Moreover, I help my parents with household activities like doing the laundry and dishes and cleaning. I also renovated and painted my room by myself, which is why I have some experience in crafting stuff as well.
Additionally working in a restaurant has taught me how to multitask and keep an overview while managing many different tasks at the same time.

I usually worked between 8 and 11 o’clock, so I had plenty of freetime in the afternoons to explore the city. Furthermore I helped during an Open Studio event which was very interesting.
