Description
Hi! I’m Kate, a solo female traveller originally from Manchester, UK. A city famous for its 'Worker Bee' spirit. Growing up there instilled in me a natural 'get stuck in' attitude and a belief in the power of community so I try to bring that same energy into everything I do. After a life-changing experience teaching English in South Korea, I’ve realized that my happiness comes from exploring new cultures, constant learning, staying active, and connecting with other people who value personal growth.
I have a background in the arts having a degree in graphic arts and design so take a lot of joy in being creative, or engaging in creative communities going to see live music gigs or art exhibitions. I'm currently working on learning to knit, basic video editing and progressing in my pottery - and would be happy to partake in any opportunities to share skills.
In my spare time you’ll often find me hitting the trails for a hike, doing yoga or working out. I find peace in pottering in the garden, I volunteer at a local
community garden so love to champion local produce, learn new skills and meet people there. I am a proud aunt of two awesome nieces aged 6 and 2 so love spending quality time with them and helping out whenever I can.
Ultimately I’m looking for an authentic exchange where I can contribute my experience and skills, share a few laughs, and leave your place with new skills and new friends. Looking forward to meeting you !
