  • Description

    Hello,
    I’m Josie, I am 21 years old!
I am about to finish my contract as an English language assistant in primary schools and am looking for 1-2 week stay. I love to work with children but also very open to other opportunities. I am currently based in Nantes so anywhere near would be perfect, but again I’m open to travelling further.
The goal for me is to have a final consolidation of my French language before my working visa expires and I go home 😢.
In terms of me personally, I love to run (I’m doing the Nantes marathon at the end of April!), listen to music, read, visit cute cafes, Pilates and more…

  • More details about your skills

I have been an English language assistant from October, working in two primary schools in the Nantes region. The aim of this year was to improve my French as I study French and Politics at the University of Manchester and will be completing my degree in the following academic year.
Skills-wise this year has been truely valuable. Working in the schools, I have gained professional experience working with children from ages 5-12.
And now I am considering a career in childcare/education. This immersion has meant my language skills and understanding of cultural exchange have improved.
Further afield I have involved myself in local associations, like a local community kitchen and attending an intergenerational event at a care home, meaning I have met a wide variety of people. Being able to have these conversations is something I have been dedicated to beforehand (with other English charities) and find super valuable to me!
