Description
I am currently a Communications major at UCSB (University of California, Santa Barbra) but I grew up with great friends in a beautiful nature-centered town outside the city of San Francisco. I enjoy hiking, swimming, art, and road trips with friends. I am looking to explore all different types of work and life experiences. I want to get out of my comfort zone geographically and culturally. I am interested in purposeful work, on my own and in groups with new people. At the start of the pandemic, I stumbled upon yoga and mediation and became engulfed in those two practices and continue them to this day.

-Red Cross certified swim and water safety instructor, Employed at Mill Valley Swim Center, freelanced local community toddler swim lesson. Taught kids of all ages: learned to motivate youngsters, worked around their issues with fear to make them more comfortable in the water.
- Drawing and painting, mixed media. Lifelong experience
- Drummer: Performed live concerts extensively, practiced with many different types of musicians and different styles. Produced recordings of my own music.
- Amateur horticulturist: Raised and harvested plants. Attended to plant health through the life cycles of the plants.
- Self-motivated: can work on my own and stay on track. Also, flexible person when it comes to working with others.

What else ...
I'm patient, understanding, and willing to learn. I like to learn how things work by taking things apart and putting them back together. I enjoy meeting and making friends with people from other countries and cultures. While I try to be a good conversationalist, I try even harder to be a better listener. I can work on my own and be satisfied but also love to collaborate with others and work in groups. With any type of work I do, one of my goals is to use the work as a vehicle to cultivate focus and mindfulness- an awareness of thoughts and feelings. At the start of the pandemic, with all the chaos it brought, I stumbled upon mediation and yoga and fell in love with the practices. I have continued practicing them to this day and they’re a part of the daily things I do to keep going. I enjoy sitting down and drawing for hours. I don’t follow any form or convention; my art is freeform. I find the process of creating art to be incredibly cathartic and important to my psyche.
