  • Description

    Hi,
An enthousiastic, energetic, hard working and fun loving 48 year old, proud, very proud dad of 2 from The Netherlands over here! I co-own a company with which we design & build turn-key interior projects for mostly B2B clients.

My life is fairly busy - but I make time to enjoy it to the fullest! With my kids, friends and also by myself. Which is why I signed up here ;-)

I really enjoy my work, where I'm responsible for marketing, sales and concept development. At home I'm trying to be a bit of a carpenter: I've made several pieces of furniture, both for indoor and outdoor use. I'm a home cook (been a member of a cooking club for about 10 years now, but wouldn't say I'm the go-to-guy for 6 course dinners :-)). My kids enjoy helping out with both the making of cool stuff and cooking and I enjoy learning them how to do it.

Just got back into working out (mostly compound exercises) I do believe I'm physically more than able to handle the workaway-work as shown on the website.

Now for the part where I tell you about making my Workaway dream come true: ever since I made a roadtrip to Kentucky in '14 I fell in love with small town America, country life and its hospitality - making me want to experience even more of it! Working hard together, helping eachother out, hanging out on a porch, building a campfire, gazing at the stars and as such enjoying life. How cool would it be to help a host out with all sorts of work and getting to know them, their family, their community and making their world a bit better while making this dream of mine come true?

And so I did: my very first Workaway adventure took place in June '22 (after 2.5 years of planning and postponing plans due to the pandemic) in Conner, Montana. I couldn't have asked for more. Well, maybe a bit more in the form of yet another Workaway adventure. Which I planned on having in Oct '23 together with my son, but unfortunately he got injured at school, so we had to cancel our plans.

Looking forward to another adventure in '24!

Please ask me any question you'd like to ask, I would love to get to know you better!
