Description

I'm Jean from Lyon (France), I just finished my engineering studies and I want to travel before starting my final internship.


I'm completely new to Workaway but I've had the opportunity to travel around quite a few European countries on itinerant holidays where I slept in my tent from town to town. I also did an Erasmus for 5 months in Trondheim (Norway) and I really loved being surrounded by different nationalities and it's always a pleasure to meet people from different countries.


Travelling is essential to me, as it builds me up. A change of environment, being confronted with different people and getting out of my comfort zone give me a lot and it's a pure pleasure to fill my head with these good moments.

I want to travel with Workaway because I want to discover countries, but not as a tourist. I want to take the time to appreciate the places and other customs too.

Full of energy and open-minded, I'm sure we'll get on well together and it'll be a pleasure to share this adventure with you !

I studied engineering for 5 years, so DIY speaks to me and I've got carried away with small personal projects, for example with my 3D printer. I'm also comfortable with anything to do with connected objects. I'm resourceful and easily motivated by small projects. I know how to repair bicycles, for example.

I also take the time to cook, the main reason being that I love to eat but I also really enjoy hosting and cooking for others. In the same spirit, I really enjoyed making beer with my father.

I speak French and English fluently and I did 10 years of German. On the side I've also learnt some basic Spanish. I'd be happy to chat in my mother tongue if people want to learn.

I love learning new things so I'll be motivated whatever the task !!!
