  • Description

Hi everyone, my name is Jana, and I live in Hungary, specifically in Budapest. I am 23 years old, and a fun fact about me is that I was born on December 24th, Christmas Day. I studied special education at university for five years, but I feel that I am not ready to commit to this profession yet. Currently, I long to travel to as many places as possible and meet as many people and cultures as I can.
On 2024 summer, I had the opportunity to go to the United States, where I worked at a children's camp for the whole summer. In 2025 I spent 3 months in Tuscany working in a family hotel. These were the two of the most defining experiences of my life, and since I returned home, I feel that this was just the beginning; I want to have more experiences like this.

What do you need to know about me? I am very extroverted, I love meeting new people, and I find it easy to open up to others. My friends might describe me as very patient, energetic, attentive and someone you can count on. I always crave something new, an adventure that allows me to grow my personality, and I really enjoy giving to others and bringing smiles to their faces.

What kind of previous experiences do I have? I have been volunteering since I was 16 at a camp where I organize fun competitions and craft activities for people in wheelchairs. We organize summer camps and short meet-ups for the participants; it feels like a big family to me, and we can always count on each other. I have a lot of experience in hospitality, such as bartending, serving, and making coffees and cocktails. In my free time, I have done a lot of babysitting, and I particularly find it easy to connect with children. I am very diligent and reliable in my work.

I already spent 3 months in Tuscany working in a family hotel. My main responsibilities were to help at the breakfast and at dinners. My main work involved waitressing, keeping touch with the guests making sure that their stay is memorable. My other task was to welcome the arriving guests, showing them around the property, offering them wine, telling about the history of the place making sure that their stay in the hotel was memorable. In addition to that I was also helping with the laundry and ironing.

Currently, I am looking for a place where I can be part of a youthful team, meet as many people and mindsets as possible, and in the process, you can get to know me too

  • More details about your skills

Hospitality: I have extensive experience in the field of hospitality. I have worked in a bakery, where I assisted pastry chefs in the preparation and packaging of baked goods. I worked at a beach bar during the summer, where I served food at the counter. I worked independently at a confectionery shop, where my main responsibilities included serving guests, handling the cash register, preparing coffees and drinks, and maintaining cleanliness in the guest area. For several years, I have volunteered at a youth organization, where we organize programs and orientation camps for university students. During these occasions, I worked at the beverage counter and had the opportunity to try my hand at a head bartender position as well. Until May 2025, I will be working full-time at a café, where I will be making coffees and cocktails, managing the cash register, opening and closing the business, and keeping everything in order. Additionally, I have been cleaning an Airbnb in Budapest for 4 years as an extra income, where guests arrive from all over the world.

Childcare: I quickly find common ground with children and have babysat for several families with kids aged 2-8 years. I studied special education at university, so I have worked extensively with children, helping to support their development through cognitive and motor skills development.

Volunteering: I've been regularly volunteering since I was 15 at a foundation where we host camps for children in wheelchairs and their family members. At these events, I mainly coordinate the volunteers and run craft activities and entertaining competitions for the participants. Additionally, as mentioned earlier, I volunteer at a university youth organization, where I have organized team-building activities such as scavenger hunts, icebreaker games, and self-awareness development programs.

International Experience: In the summer of 2024, I decided to embark on an adventure, so I applied to work at a children's camp in the United States. I spent three months there, where I met international people, gained confidence in my English skills, and despite the hard work, I can say that I experienced the most exciting three months of my life. I formed lifelong friendships and explored the eastern part of the USA during my travels after the camp, returning home with many experiences. At the camp, I held personnel duties, which included kitchen work, food preparation, setting tables, cleaning, laundry work, and reception duties.

Art: In my childhood, I spent four years painting and drawing as a hobby, learning from an artist. I have always loved being creative and making things. At the children's camp I mentioned earlier, where I volunteer, I regularly hold craft programs. I strive to organize activities that are not too difficult yet still challenging, so that everyone can gain a sense of success from the experience.
