Hi! My name is Jade. I'm 24 and from London, UK. I studied languages and culture at university and am super passionate about travel and meeting and connecting with people from all over the world!
Last year I spent 6 months travelling in SE Asia, where I was involved in some amazing workaways, that led me to fall in love with the idea of full-time travel. Now I'm planning even more adventures in South America, and I can't wait to see what incredible experiences and friendships are in store for me this time!

Language exchange is a big part of why I love doing Workaways! I am TEFL.org and CELTA qualified to teach English as a foreign language, and have been building up my teaching experience through workaways and volunteer jobs during my travels. So far I have been involved with teaching projects in the UK, Vietnam and Indonesia. As well as teaching languages, I also love learning them. I have varying proficiency in Portuguese, Russian and French, and am also always keen to try to pick up new languages wherever I am travelling!

I love both learning and teaching languages - and this is my main area or expertise! I have a degree in Modern Languages and Cultures, and have varying levels of proficiency in Russian, French and Portuguese. I am TEFL.org and CELTA qualified and am really hoping to further my experience as an English language teacher this year.

I also have a lot of work experience in hospitality, particularly as a bartender and barista. I have also done waitressing, events work, and tour guiding in London, and have a lot of experience working with children. I also consider myself a very creative person, and I love meeting and talking with new people!

I am very familiar with the concept of workaway. In 2024, during my travels in SE Asia, I did 3 workaways (one month working reception in a large social hostel in Malaysia, 3 weeks at an English language school in Vietnam, and a month at a community English teaching project in Indonesia)/

In my spare time, I enjoy reading, listening and playing music, and arts or anything creative. I really love animals and nature too, and enjoy hiking, camping and anything outdoors!
