Hey everyone! My name is Jack and I'm from Malaysia.
I'm currently working as a digital nomad with a background of localization project management, specializing in Japanese and Korean languages. Before working in the standard white collar job, I started my cultural exchange journey since 2016, coachsurfed and solo travelled for few years. I also got myself an interesting opportunity working as hostel staff in Kyoto, Japan for two years.
I love capturing moments with my camera, exploring new places and embrace slow travelling through living like local. Just recent, I started to reprioritize the way I live my life - I have given the flexibility to work anywhere in the world and would like to experience life, connecting with new people, and building meaningful communities. One of my main strengths are my multilingual background. I can speak Chinese, English, Japanese fluently. I can listen and read Korean and understand basic Cantonese and Malay languages.
I had worked in one of the best hostel in Hostelworld.com in 2016-2018 - Piece Hostel Sanjo in Kyoto which gives me a deep appreciation of Japan hospitality and customer service skills. Thanks to my current career as a project manager, I have familiarize myself with current cloud application knowledge, data analytics and some IT networking knowledge.
