Hi, I am Henrik! I am 63 years old and a father of three.
I live with my longtime beloved partner on the Danish island of Bornholm (in the Baltic Sea), where I bought an old farmhouse with 5 acres some 30 years ago. It was pretty much run down, but I have gradually renovated it. I have been an AirBnb host for a number of years, so you can take a look yourself: airbnb.dk/rooms/14660029.
I was born on farm in Jutland, and basically I am still a farmer's boy, spending time outdoors and using my hands, building, processing firewood and taking care of my chickens.
I am very social and love meeting new people. I travelled a lot before I got kids, and during my study I spent a year in Montreal and another year in Cairo.
My educational background is in humanities (linguistics and philosophy) and have done research in medieval philosophy. After moving to Bornholm I have worked 10 years teaching Danish language to adult foreigners, and for the last 18 years I have been working as an IT developer.

Animals:
I grew up on a farm and I also used to have animals on my own farm house: poultry, rabbits and sheep.
Handyman:
I have rebuilt my own house entirely, so I have experienced with all kinds of tools. I am good at structuring the process and enjoy working hard and efficiently.
Gardening:
I love gardening and know quite a lot about propagating plants and trees. I have raised a big natural garden and a small forest around my house, where there was only farm land 20 years ago. Now I have my own supply of firewood :-)
Art work:
When I was younger I spent a lot of time with pottery and making sculptures in clay, and I have even taken part in local censured exhibitions. Presently I have a number of items exhibited at the gallery Art Box in Svaneke.

Crecí en una granja y también solía tener animales en mi propia granja: aves de corral, conejos y ovejas.

Arte:
Cuando era más joven pasaba mucho tiempo con cerámica y haciendo esculturas en arcilla, e incluso participé en exposiciones locales censuradas. Actualmente he exhibido varios artículos en la galería Art Box en Svaneke.
