Description
Hi everyone! :) My name is Hannah, I am a positive, community-oriented, hard-working, helpful, empathetic, adventurous, perceptive, and free-spirited person looking for my next adventure. I am looking for experiences that will immerse me in a new culture and provide me with ways that I can thoughtfully contribute to a new community - as a sociology major I love learning about and appreciating different perspectives, cultural practices, and ways of life. It has been my lifelong goal to be fluent in Spanish (as a part of my professional journey in community work I can support a larger community of people) and I hope to accomplish that through language immersion, supplemented by my personal study efforts. I want to challenge myself by learning and improving upon new skills such as permaculture farming, construction, general maintenance, DIY projects, and more! I also hope to make many new friends along the way : )
I love hiking, crocheting (and am happy to teach anyone!), journaling, camping, swimming, reading, camping, music, games (of any sort!), dancing, morning tea, campfire songs, and cooking. I am an extrovert who loves the company of others and connecting with new people however, I also value alone time to check in and take care of myself when needed : )Interests

I have experience in childcare, food service, customer service, animal care, teaching, website management, project management, cooking, event planning, volunteer work, construction, and non-profit work.
I just recently finished camping for 100 days as a part of my job as a Course Assistant for a California Ecology and Conservation class for which I was in charge of planning meals, budgeting and purchasing groceries, and cooking for 32 people every day in various remote locations around California. This experience taught me a lot about hard work, staying positive in challenging situations, how to take care of myself, how to navigate difficult interpersonal conflicts by using problem-solving and conflict resolution strategies, and gave me experience living and working in tough conditions.Age

What else ...
I deeply value communication to ensure everyone is comfortable and happy with the situation. I encourage feedback on how I can improve or be more helpful as I take everything as a learning experience! My goal is to contribute to every WorkAway in the best way that I can : )
