Hi I’m Hannah from Australia!
I have have taken the some time off to travel through Africa from Cairo to Capetown, and have decided I'd love to make some stops along the way, meet some new people and learn some new skills.
I have a background in disaster management, permaculture and biodiversity projects, but am always happy to try something new and pick up some new skills.
I've really enjoyed previous Workaway experiences due to people passion for their projects and work, and love to be a part of that journey.
I love experiencing new cultures and food, hiking and being in nature and with animals, so always happy to hear for recommendations as I go, so if you have any suggestions for my trip please let me know :-)Interests

More details about your skills
For the past few years I have been working in the Disaster Management sector in Western Australia, promoting community preparedness for disasters like flooding, cyclones and bushfires, and responding in impacted regions. I have experience working with a variety of people, writing research grants, rapid needs assessments and government ministerials.
I also have experience working in the permaculture and biodiversity space, having worked on a few sustainable farm projects, including composting, growing and maintaining fruit and vegetables and working with farm animals including horses, sheep and chickens.
I have lots of hospitality experience and used to be a lifeguard and swim teacher so happy to utilise those skills as well.
I am always eager to learn new skills and get my hands dirty and usually pick up new skills very quickly if shown what needs to be done.Age
