Description
Hello! My name is Gaia, I’m from Argentina, and I’m a qualified EFL teacher. In January I'll be in London doing the CELTA course, and after that I want to stay in the UK for some months in order to explore British culture and further develop my English.
I consider myself a sociable, adaptable, and curious person who loves being surrounded by nature and genuine eagerness to learn about almost everything. I love connecting with people, having deep conversations, and laughing a lot. Furthermore, I enjoy outdoor activities, yoga, reading, painting, crafting, learning new skills, and I’m passionate about communicating in different languages! I'm also keen on cooking (and eating haha), and I love baking sourdough bread!
I grew up in a family where sustainable living, healthy eating, and respect for Mother Nature are fundamental values. It was with my family that I gained hands-on experience in raising chickens, tending a vegetable garden, and creating handcrafted products. My interests have since expanded to include ecological and sustainable construction, yoga, animals, plants, food self-sufficiency, and teaching. These passions have led me to participate in several meaningful volunteer projects, such as working with children in Brazil, helping build an eco-house in Belgium, and creating biofertilizers in a biofactory in Argentina, among others. 🌞🌱🌄🌈🌍🌎🌏
Since English is my main tool for work, I’m seeking volunteering opportunities where I can immerse myself in the British culture, learn from the people and environment around me, as well as polish my English.
Something important to point out is that I work online, so I would need a stable internet connection and a quiet space during working hours. -
