Nice to meet you :)

My name is Francesca, I am a 30 years old Italian who is currently on some time off from my job and I feel the need to reconnect with the world surrounding me and nature.

I have worked 5 years in Milan in Communications & Marketing, both within more social and corporate environments, specializing in particular in external comms, social media and events. Prior to this I tried to study and explore as much as my possibilities allowed me, jumping on the Workaway and Erasmus+ train multiple times.

I have lived in Italy, US, Netherlands, Spain and on and off in France, but my travels have also led me to Africa and Asia. Right now, I want to explore more, meet kind people and get my hands dirty, which is what I really loved of Workaway: working hands-on with communities, helping in whatever I could.

I am a very extroverted human being, I love a good chat and to ask a million question, but I am also very respectful of personal spaces, I love cooking, I enjoy very much nature (the sea, the mountains, the forest.... everything I can get my feet close to), I love doing activities outdoors such as running, hiking, biking and camping, and I am a very artsy and books person. Besides communications, I have experience working in farms, restoring houses and taking care of animals and kids. I can speak Italian (of course), English, Spanish and I am currently working on my French, so looking forward to get some experiences in France (but honestly the world is your oyster so I would travel everywhere).

I have knowledge that could be plenty useful for NGOs and small associations, since I have been studying International Relations for the past 5 years, as well as environmental challenges and green projects since it is my main field of interest. I am fluend in English and Italian (mothertongue actually), advanced in Spanish and I try my best in French. I can easily work with people from the most various bakground, having lived and volunteered in different corners of the world.
I can perfectly cook (especially vegeterian and italian dishes), I can do housekeeping chores, I am a pretty good drawer, I can produce simple but effective digital content and I have general knowledge of digital marketing, if you need to boost up your social media or visibility. I am a biig animals lover, I dream of a huge garden filled with dogs.
I have volunteered in the restoration of an old villa (I brought back to life cranky stairs), in an olive trees planting and caring project, and in a tomato picking field. As you can see I am pretty flexible and easily adaptable, if you just have the patience to explain me 10 minutes what I am supposed to do, I quickly pick up the method and the pace, you wont be disappointed !
