Hi there, I'm Ellie, 25, from Germany!

I just finished my Bachelors degree and have been looking forward to traveling again for so long! Seeing new places and experiencing a variety of different lifestyles is definitely what motivates me. So far I worked in restaurants, was an Au Pair, worked in a hotel and worked online while traveling - so I have lots of experience in hospitality and babysitting!

What brings me happiness is being around my loved ones and meeting new loved ones! Some of my current favorite hobbies are crocheting, photography and surfing and I am also a soccer fan! I love trying out new things, am really reliable and flexible and look forward to what Australia has to offer!

I've always loved trying out different jobs - I have been a waitress, helped out at an elderly care and in a kindergarten and worked at the kiosk at our local pool.

After high school I went to the US to be an Au Pair for two years, which I absolutely loved! I took care of a variety of after school activities with the kids and did lots of driving as well as some cooking and house work. When I got back to Europe I worked in Greece in a hotel kids club. So I definitely have a lot of babysitting experience and would be happy to do that again.

During my studies (Tourism Management) in Berlin I had a part time job at an online company that offered summer camps for kids, where I worked online while traveling South East Asia and Sri Lanka for a bit. My job included customer service as well as some online marketing and content organization. During the summers I volunteered in a surf camp in France where the job also included hospitality and keeping the camp clean.

I also have some experience with garden work and DIY projects as my family has a big garden where we spent lots of summers and once converted a construction caravan. I like being crafty and am also really into photography.

Other than that I absolutely love organizing and planning things which is something I would love to help out with! I love to make things feel special! I am also eager to try out completely new things and am happy to learn!

It was an absolute delight to host Ellie and Max for about 3 weeks – they really are the loveliest, easy going and helpful pair! From the moment they arrived, they were part of the family and imparted a wonderfully happy and positive energy to our home and lives. They helped with all aspects with great care, enthusiasm, attention to detail and to… read more the highest standards.
Max took complete ownership of our garden, quietly tending to pruning, raking, weeding, mulching, mowing, watering, cleaning up messy areas and shaping our enormous rosemary bush! Truly the place had a magical vibe by the time they left, all was green, lush, beaming in fact! Furthermore, Max helped with some random fix it jobs that just would never have got done otherwise, made some of the best bolognese sauce for the family and had a blast with our son on the local tennis courts. Ellie also played several tennis matches and they were both very kind and entertaining throughout their stay with Agnes and Pippie in particular.
I loved working and chatting with Ellie – she was a great partner for decluttering and many other jobs by offering the perfect measure of gentleness, firmness and wisdom and helped me get through “the next layer” without pain and feeling very supported. She too worked quietly around the house clearing out laden and messy cupboards and organising spaces beautifully. Ellie also helped Agnes with homework, prepped loads of vegies to make yummy meals and was always very attentive to the family. I was grateful for her consistent eagerness and just getting stuck into any tasks immediately with minimal fuss and working quickly yet carefully throughout.
I went away for several days with my daughter and Max and Ellie not only “walked the dog”, but gave Pippie a true holiday in Melbourne. With my permission, they purchased a muzzle for our lovely pet (as required by the public transport) and treated Pippie to several outings to beautiful parks around Melbourne. Whilst Pippie was happy to see me on my return, I could tell her care had been next level and she had had the time of her life!
It has been a gift to have felt total trust in leaving our home, loved pet and at times, the children in the care of Ellie and Max and return to pure peace, contentment and joy!
I highly recommend Ellie and Max to future hosts – we were very sad to see them go, but wish them a really fabulous time in Australia and fingers crossed we will see them again soon.
