Looking for Workaways from late July in the Pyrenees or the Black Forest

Hi! I'm Eyal.

I'm 30 years old, originally from Israel, and currently living in Paris. I work remotely as a video editor while also writing my first feature film screenplay.

I'm joining Workaway because I'm looking for a different rhythm of life—one that's closer to nature, built around meaningful human connections, and rooted in mutual help. I love meeting people from different backgrounds and learning from the way they live.

Friends would probably describe me as kind, open-minded, open-hearted, and a deep thinker. I'm somewhere between an introvert and an extrovert: I enjoy quiet moments on my own, but I also value long conversations, shared meals, and getting to know the people around me.

Cinema and literature are my greatest passions. In my free time you'll usually find me reading, watching films, walking in nature, listening to music, or taking photographs with my film camera.

Although I work remotely for around 20 hours a week, I'm happy to dedicate the rest of my time to helping my hosts. I can paint walls, help with childcare, create videos or other visual content, and assist with general tasks. I'd especially love to learn more about gardening, farming, and animal care.

I speak Hebrew and French as native languages, and I'm fluent in English. I also have a driver's license (automatic).

I thrive in respectful, open-minded, and quiet environments where people care about one another. To me, being a good Workawayer means combining kindness with responsibility.

I'm deeply interested in different cultures, ideas, and ways of living. I'm Israeli, and I respect people of every background, faith, and opinion—as long as that respect goes both ways.

My ideal day starts early with a few hours of helping my hosts, followed by time to work remotely and continue writing my screenplay. In the evening, I enjoy sharing dinner, stories, and conversations with hosts and fellow travelers.

During my Workaway experience, I'm especially excited to gain more experience in gardening, farming, and animal care.
