Evan:
Hi there! My name is Evan, I’m an 18-year-old college student currently studying engineering in San Diego, CA, USA. I was originally born in the Bay Area, near San Francisco, CA, USA. I’m motivated by meaningful experiences that allow me to grow, connect with others, and give back to communities.
I have a strong passion for working with kids. I find it rewarding to contribute to their learning and development. My experience in charity leagues has taught me the importance of teamwork, compassion, and the impact of small actions in making a big difference.
I am a guy who finds joy in solving problems and helping out wherever needed. I’m handy with household tasks, from fixing things to keeping everything running smoothly. Whether it’s repairing something, organizing, or lending a hand with odd jobs, I’m always ready to pitch in.
I’m also very interested in learning new languages. I am particularly focused on learning Spanish and exploring the rich cultures of South America. Olivia:
Hi, my name is Olivia Freida Meshel, and I was born in Chico, California. My mom, who was originally from Uruguay, immigrated here and met my Italian father, who taught her all the English she knew. I am now an 18-year-old bilingual student living in Oceanside, California, for school, where I am majoring in education with hopes of becoming a Spanish or English teacher abroad. My passion for teaching and working with kids began early. I'm CPR certified and have been working with children since I was 14. I started volunteering at Adventure Day Camp in Lafayette, CA, USA when I was 15 and never looked back. As a junior counselor, I shadowed the leader and volunteered for two years. In my final year, I got a job and was entrusted with the responsibility of 15 second graders. It was a long, memorable summer that taught me a lot and solidified my love for education and child development. Additionally, I have a deep interest in psychology, which makes working with kids even more fascinating as I get to see how their minds work differently from ours. I also love traveling and immersing myself in new cultures. My visit to Uruguay was nothing short of life-changing, as it completely changed my perspective on life. It was an eye-opening experience that fueled my desire for languages and traveling more than I ever imagined.
