Hi everyone :)

I’m Eva, and I’m usually based in Freiburg in the south of Germany. Just a few weeks ago, I completed my studies in Educational Science. Now I’m planning to travel for a few months, do things that are less head-heavy, and simply enjoy the freedom. I’ll start my journey in Croatia in May, then continue on to Bosnia, Serbia, Montenegro, Albania, and North Macedonia—or wherever the road takes me.

While traveling (and in life in general), I especially enjoy authentic contact with people. I love listening to their stories—or simply connecting through a small gesture or a smile. I also really enjoy spending time in nature and noticing how it affects me. If I get the chance to learn more about a region’s history, culture, and food (maybe even how to produce some things myself), it would be a real pleasure. One of my side projects while traveling is to improve my English (especially vocabulary and phrases), and also to pick up a few words in other languages.

Overall, I’d say I’m a cheerful and easy-going person who enjoys lending a hand and gets excited about all sorts of tasks. I grew up on a farm, so I know what physical work and caring for animals mean. I really enjoy cooking and can also help with houshold stuff. So hopefully, there’ll be something I can do to support you (and in case your family).

Beyond that, I deeply value open communication and would love to be in places where respectful interaction is part of everyday life.

Since I studied Educational Science and have almost always worked in the social sector alongside my studies—often volunteering as well—I’m very used to being in contact with people from all kinds of backgrounds (young, old, people with disabilities, with migration backgrounds, etc.). Even though my English may not be perfect, I’m very communicative and usually find it easy to connect with others. So I’m confident I can support social projects, and helping with simple homework tasks shouldn’t be a problem either.

I also really enjoy hands-on work and have been used to it since childhood, as I grew up on a farm. I don't have formal training in technical fields, but I believe I have a solid basic understanding of how things work and how to handle tools. I’m also comfortable around animals and enjoy caring for them.

Since I spend a lot of time cooking in my free time and healthy nutrition is really important to me, I’d be happy to prepare tasty vegetarian meals. All kinds of household tasks are very familiar to me as well.

Last but not least, I also enjoy organizing events—big or small—and have quite a bit of experience in planning and coordinating a wide range of activities.
