Hello! I am Ella and I love stepping out of my comfort zone and exploring new places. I recently graduated college and have been working at home while living with my family in Massachusetts, USA. I decided that I would like to see more of the world while leaving a positive impact, which is why Workaway resonated with me. I grew up traveling internationally with my family and have completed an international volunteering trip around Thailand before college.
I grew up in a household centered around health, yoga, self-love, and meditation. Playing tennis, practicing the violin, hiking in nature, cooking new recipes, and spending time with my family and friends brings me joy. I care very deeply about the people in my life, and I consider myself a positive and kind friend!
I studied International Relations and French throughout school and I have spent a lot of time studying and researching global events and places, and I would like to take this opportunity to dig deeper than books, theories, or projects, and step into an unfamiliar part of the world where I can learn and appreciate firsthand. -

I have experience teaching and tutoring English and French to students. I was an academic tutor during college and worked along side the language department. As a collegiate tennis player, I have also coached tennis as an Assistant Tennis Professional in different tennis clubs to all levels and ages. As a former captain of my team for two years, I have experience collaborating with my peers and coaches to create a supportive and focused team-oriented environment. I believe my experience working with others and pursuing a goal will be helpful to the Workaway volunteering tasks.
Additionally, I worked in a bakery and I am a capable cook and I could offer help in the kitchen. I have experience working at animal sanctuaries and also permaculture and farming projects. I am in excellent-shape and have great work-ethic and believe I can be a helpful hand around the house. -
