Description
Hello dear community,
I am a student of Environmental Technology from Germany and currently doing my mandatory year abroad. I have chosen this study programm because I want to be part of a change. I am living to improve myself and to learn. I want to get on a way of sustainability and environmental awareness and by that connect with the people. My study programm includes one year abroad in a country with a different cultural context and also aspects of development cooperation. I have already spent 6 months in Cameroon for my practical semester, where I learnt a lot about myself and how the world works. I got to know warm people that I took straight to my heart and i figured out, that it is the most fulfilling feeling to learn from people with a different culture about their way of living and their view on life. Being in contact with new and familiar people, having (controversial) discussions at eye level and, for me the most important, share moments of joy and laugh together. I am now in a bridging time until my studies will continue in July and looking forward to meet new people, learn about new cultures and ways of living over this platform and also to gain experience in some work. I would love to work on practical projects in terms of the environment and sustainability and learn as much as possible in my time with workaway.Interests

In my practical semester I learnt good organisational skills and time management while working on a water-reuse concept.
I grew up on a residual farm, where my parents kept small numbers of old animal breeds, where I learnt to take care for animals (including feeding, clean out and cuddling:)) and doing small tasks in the yard.
In my studies I gained basic knowledge in renewable energies and (waste-)water treatment.
I am reliable and love to connect and communicate with people.Age

Even if I was not there during her time I got to know that she helped whereever help was needed. She spent time with our children and went for long walks with our dogs. We wish her all the best on her journeys!
