Hi!

My name is Ella Zoloth and I am a soon to be graduate from UCLA majoring in both psych and sociology! Before applying to grad school and continuing my education I want to spend my summer (and potentially beyond) traveling to explore new people, places, cultures, and ideas. I love working with kids as well as have lots of experience and thought that workaway would be a perfect opportunity for me to explore the world while also having the chance to make a meaningful connection with a family abroad.

In terms of hobbies, I am a very active and outdoorsy person (from WA state!) who loves hiking, biking, walking, camping, and simply being outdoors as much as possible. Post grad I'm hoping to reconnect with arts and crafts and my creative side again! I love art museums, reading, and journaling as well!

I have loved my experience at UCLA and can't wait to continue learning things in my travels abroad through hands on experience and exploration!

My most relevant experience is my experience with kids. I have babysat since I was 12 years old and once I was older I began formally nannying for a variety of families. In addition, last summer I worked at a head start preschool as an assistant teacher working mainly in a class of 2-4 year olds. However, throughout my countless experiences, I have had the opportunity to work with kids of all ages (infant-old elementary school). I also consider my education extremely useful in my ability to engage with kids. Many of the courses I have taken at school, but particularly my developmental psych courses have focused on the ways in which kids environments can either hinder their growth or allow them to thrive. The combination of my experience, knowledge, and love of kids makes me the perfect helper with children. I've learned so much for the kids I've worked with and truly hope to make an impact in all of these children's lives, helping cultivate a great foundation for them to grow and learn!
