Description
I love spending time outdoors, exploring new places, and meeting people who like to do the same. I have enjoyed living in different regions of the US through seasonal fieldwork and want to continue doing that both stateside and internationally with Workaway. I have experience participating in small-scale land management, environmental monitoring, and working closely with small teams of people. Sustainability is important to me, and I want to learn how to better care for the land and community around me. My hobbies include hiking, yoga, swimming, trying new food, and learning about any plants and animals I encounter.
I’m currently doing a seasonal wildlife and fisheries job in the state of Utah. I’ll have some time off in January and February of 2026 and I’m planning to travel to Mexico for 3-5 weeks. I would like to do one or two Workaways for 1-3 weeks each. I am interested in sustainable farming, gardening, animals, hostels, carpentry, trail maintenance, and ecological restoration - I’m generally open to a lot of things!

More details about your skills
I have worked in trail maintenance, invasive species control, and stream monitoring (along with other ecological data collection projects). I know how to use many trail tools (axes, McCleods, brush cutters) and am generally comfortable with power tools. I have helped build a deck and a boardwalk, so my carpentry skills are basic but I'd love to learn more. I am good at identifying plants (especially invasive ones, for better or for worse) and love learning the species of a new area. I have also helped out in a lodge as a housekeeper and had a couple of different front desk/retail jobs, so I can certainly help with cleaning and guest services.
