Hey there and howdy! I'm Maria, an educator, community builder, and digital nomad from Texas.

For the past few years, I've been living and working around the world while teaching English online and creating meaningful experiences that bring people together.

My background combines over 10 years in education and several years in remote work, training, onboarding, and community-building. I love helping people feel welcomed, included, and connected.

Absolutely! I'm passionate about both language learning and language teaching. I'm a native English speaker and have been teaching English to both children and adults for several years, helping students improve their confidence, fluency, pronunciation, and communication skills. I'd be happy to offer English conversation practice, language exchanges, or informal lessons to guests and community members. I also love learning languages myself. I speak conversational Spanish and enjoy practicing whenever I have the opportunity. I've also studied French, Korean, and Bambara and am always excited to learn new words, expressions, and cultural perspectives through language exchange. For me, language learning is one of the best ways to connect with people, understand different cultures, and build meaningful friendships. 😊

Outside of volunteering and work, I love bringing people together and creating meaningful experiences. I'm passionate about travel, personal growth, gratitude, and cultural exchange.

Some of my favorite hobbies include hiking, Pilates, running, yoga, meditation, reading, cooking, and exploring local cafés. I especially love being in nature and can usually be found on a trail, near the sea, or enjoying a long walk through a new city.

I'm also a big fan of board games and social games that help people connect and laugh together. I enjoy community dinners, language exchanges, storytelling nights, workshops, and spontaneous adventures.

One of the things I enjoy most about traveling is learning from people with different backgrounds and perspectives. I love conversations about culture, psychology, personal development, books, travel experiences, and what makes people feel alive.
