  • Description

Hi! We’re Chloé and Lucas, both 21 years old and from France.

We’re currently studying in Paris, but we both grew up in small countryside villages, so we’ve always loved being close to nature. Starting in October, we’re planning to come to New Zealand for several months, to take a break from our studies and experience a different way of life.
We’re excited to discover the country, meet new people, and learn by helping out !

    About Lucas :
I have a strong appreciation for art and beautiful landscapes.
I recently graduated with a degree in communication and marketing, and I’m now taking some time to explore the world in a more hands-on and authentic way. I’ve always loved animals and spending time outdoors, and I’m really looking forward to learning new skills while being useful. One of my goals during this trip is to improve my English by learning directly from locals and immersing myself in New Zealand’s culture and way of life.

    About Chloé :
I’m a nature lover and I feel good outdoors, whether it’s hiking, enjoying the peace and quiet, or taking care of animals. Animals hold a big place in my heart : I’m vegetarian and I volunteer at a cat shelter in France, which brings me so much joy.
I enjoy social interaction and helping others, which is why I obtained a French qualification in childcare and youth work (BAFA). This gave me the opportunity to work several times in leisure centers with children aged 3 to 12.

We’ll be travelling together and we’re really looking forward to sharing this experience.
New Zealand has always been a country we wanted to discover, for its landscapes, its culture, and the chance to slow down and learn in a different environment.
We think woofing is a great way to meet people, discover local life, and get involved in useful, hands-on projects. It’s also a good opportunity for us to improve our English and grow personally through new experiences.
We’re open-minded, respectful, adaptable, and motivated to help out. We enjoy working as a team and learning from others.

  • More details about your skills

Chloé : I’ve developed practical and organizational skills through my studies and various jobs. I’m comfortable with many tasks, from daily chores to outdoor and manual work. I have several years of experience in childcare, including with children with disabilities, which taught me patience and responsibility. I also worked in sales and customer service, where I improved my communication and adaptability. My involvement in CSR projects gave me experience in planning and coordination. I'm confident with digital tools, I speak French natively, and I’m looking forward to improving my English in New Zealand.

Lucas : I graduated in marketing and communication and have a strong knowledge of digital tools. I’ve often done babysitting, so I’m used to taking responsibility and caring for children. I also worked for over three years as a waiter and bartender in Paris, which helped me develop strong social skills and feel comfortable interacting with people from all backgrounds, including international tourists. I’ve regularly taken care of animals back home in the countryside. I also have some teaching and I’m especially looking forward to improving my English while sharing what I can from my French and experiences.
