  • Description

I am a recent college graduate from Maine, USA. I love to be outside, explore new places, and enjoy the natural beauty of unique and remote destinations. Specifically, I am passionate about isolated communities, rural depopulation, and the development of resilient and sustainable local economies in small towns across the World.

Starting in July 2025, I am traveling around the World to experience and learn about these topics. This idea was inspired by my incredible study abroad experience in Bhutan, a little known Buddhist monarchy in the Himalayas, my journey to visit all 455 towns in my home state of Maine, and my general love of researching and experiencing the World's most unique and under-appreciated areas and meeting the wonderful people who inhabit them.

I am a hard worker in good shape who will give my full effort to all volunteer tasks, is used to working outside in harsh conditions, and will approach any job with a positive attitude.

  • More details about your skills

I am a hard worker with experience doing outdoor labor such as cutting and chopping wood, building fences, landscaping, and forestry. While I do not have extensive carpentry experience, I am physically able and am eager to learn any manual labor task necessary to complete jobs.

I enjoy being with people and teaching/tutoring would be of great interest to me!

I love animals, have grown up with dogs, and have some experience caring for animals on farms, so I would be eager or any opportunity that involves caring for farm animals, working animals, or pets.

I am used to and enjoy working in cold climates with harsh weather conditions.

I have skills and prior experience in graphic design and video editing. For some of my graphic design work, you can check out the website of my small business at town-cards.com.

I have entrepreneurial skills from running a small business throughout my time at college.

I am an avid hiker and am able to be outside and active for long periods of time.

I have a college degree with specialized education in Geology and Economics, and would be happy to help with any academically related needs.

I am generally good with computers and help with technological needs to the best of my abilities, although I have no specialized IT training.

  • What else ...

I love any form of friendly competition, including family games, sports, and mental games. I have played tennis, curling, frisbee, golf, and geoguessr (an online geography game) competitively, and enjoy playing pretty much any sport or game recreationally.

Along these lines I have a small business where I design and sell custom Maine-themed playing cards, which has been a super fun experience to develop!

I also have a quality drone and enjoy capturing beautiful aerial imagery wherever I go.
