Description
Hello I am 20 years old and live in Denmark. I just graduated school in July and now i am taking a gap year. In my gap-year i have been working most of the time, but also invested some time into traveling. I went on the coastal Camino Portuguese from Portugal to Spain this summer for example. Traveling makes me happy because i meet new people, cultures and perspectives.
About me: I am a very creative person. I do pottery, silver jewelry and sew my own clothes.
I live in Copenhagen with my dad, mom and little brother. Even though we live in the capital my parents are from the countryside, and I enjoy spending time in the nature away from the city.
I really like traveling, and I am yearning for some stillness, space for creativity, immersion, beautiful nature and new cultures.

More details about your skills
I work at a café fulltime and before that i worked at a restaurant, so i know a lot about customer service, interacting with people, welcoming them and creating a positive and calm atmosphere. It is very local and have a lot of regulare costumers we talk and have fun with. It can be stressful so i also know how to handle busy and stresfull situations. From these jobs i also learned to work independent and be aware of where help is needed. We bake/cook everything ourselves, so i am not completely useless in a kitchen either - especially if you are baking cakes ;).
Previous to these jobs I babysat a little girl for a couple of years, and that also teached me independence and responsibility.
I have lived at a boarding school for a year. Here i also learned to be very independent and make a daily life work in a big group. We shared chores around the perimeter, like cleaning, cooking, gardening and general maintenance. The boarding school i went to was very focused on the nature and being able to 'survive' in the 'wild'. We camped multiple times in the forest, where we could only make dinner with what we found. Usually we had bonfires and sat around it for hours and talking and singing. I apreciated that time very much. I like being calm and have time to connect with people.
At the school we had a farm with pigs, chikens, rabbits and sheeps. Sometimes I had the job to take care of them, so i also know a little about animals and farming. My grandparents also lived at a farm with cows and pigs and in the sommer my brother and I helped around the farm.
I am also independent when it comes to traveling. I first traveled without my family when I was 16 and ever since that I have traveled to Madeira, Paris, Greece, Lissabon, Porto and Barcelona with friends. I like to hike and explore the nature when I am traveling. Like I mentioned earlier I walked the coastal camino, which is 300km from Portugal to Spain to experience culture and nature to the fullest.
I am very aware of the climate and like to take the train to the destination if it is available.
Lastly i am a very creative person. I do pottery, jewelry, sewing and a little carpentry.
My dad is a carpenter and we live in a very old house that my dad have renovated over the years. Sometimes me and my brother have helped. My dad has always made an effort to make us useful with our hands.
I sew all my clothes out of used materials because I dont like to buy new clothes. I have been taking sewing-courses to get better and have been sewing my own clothes since 2019.
My mom is an arts teacher and we have creativity in common. We usually do DIY projects around the house, paint, rearanche the interier design and make ceramics together.

What else ...
I want to do workaway to get close to a community and culture. I like working and using my body and being apart of something meaningfull. I have some skills but i am very eager to learn more and hope i can learn much more about farming, nepalese: culture, people and religion, cooking, sustainebility, being a part of a community, nature, DIY projects and eco projects.
I don't now when my journey will end, because I am trying to be spontaneious, so I am excited and open to anything.
