Description
I left my 9-5 job two years ago and have been travelling and living in different countries since then. I'm friendly and sociable and I've really enjoyed meeting interesting people from all over the world, although I've also learned that I need a bit of time to myself sometimes. I'm very kind and patient and I love spending time with children. I also like cycling, walking, board games, dancing and learning new languages and I'm trying to live a more sustainable life. My Spanish is around B2 level. I teach English (my first language). I have no formal qualification in this but my students are very positive about my classes! I can help a lot with pronunciation, overall confidence and grammar. I have some basic French and Italian. I used to speak both languages well but I'm very rusty and would struggle to hold a conversation, these days.

In the UK I was previously working with children for 10 years and am able to provide kind, fun and engaging childcare and informal teaching. I can also play the piano and can share this skill if that's helpful! I don't have much experience with gardening or building etc but I'm always very happy to learn new things and I pay a lot of attention to detail with any task that I'm given.

I'm a calm presence and a good listener and can fit in well and adapt to most situations, being friendly, sociable and warm. I enjoy board games (Scrabble, Settlers of Catan, Ticket to Ride and Dixit are a few of my favourites), badminton, cooking, baking, walking, reading, theatre and (of course) travelling. I'm currently in my home city of London for a few months over the summer, but I'm planning to go to Colombia in October or November 2024.
