Hi friends!
I'm Anni, 33 years old and currently relocating from my home town of the Gold Coast to follow my dance dreams in Melbourne! This has been a decade long dream and it appears the stars have aligned as I finally make this move to be a part of the Advanced Dance Training with Eclectica Hub - please check them out for beautiful embodied story-telling of the feminine, ancestry and connection to land and country.
So I first came across Workaway in 2023 when I set out to journey back to the motherland of Japan with the intention of learning ceramics and immersing myself in my heritage, as a mixed race Japanese/Australian woman, and it offered so much more than expected when I leaned into the Workaway experiences. It allowed me to teach yoga in a foreign country - relying purely on language not of words but of the body and felt sense, homestay and teaching English to young children while offering learning through play (including participating in the sports day alongside the wee ones!) exchange cooking and explore the country culture in an intimate way.
Since returning home to Australia I've found myself moving away from the van life living I was venturing in before leaving the country and desiring to anchor deeper into service, community, sustainability and my hobbies. It feels really important to me to give and receive in this way, and I hope this is where we meet and resonate where we can exchange supportive assistance and experiences.

I love people! I'm warm and inviting and great at making people feel at home in my presence. This makes me a great hostel receptionist or first point of contact in a restaurant/cafe.
I'm a qualified yoga teacher, slow flow hatha/vinyasa and love getting people moving - especially if that involves dancing.
I've just started my journey in permaculture, equipped to handle manual tools yet will assistance with other equipment.
I have an innovative business mind, great with creating ideas, new programs and offerings but please leave the technology aspect in someone else's capable hands.
