Description
Hello everybody,
I am Anne, a 32 years old girl from the Netherlands. I am currently working as a child psychologist in primary education. I grew up in a loving family on a farm in the Netherlands. We've always had lots of animals, like horses, sheep, dogs, cats, chickens, pigeons, and more. I've been riding horses since I was a child, and we've owned them. I love riding long trails through the woods and countryside. I find peace in nature and with animals, and it's where I get my energy from. I also love working in the garden and even had a small vegetable garden. I'd love to spend more time outdoors and learn about outdoor living.

More details about your skills
I grew up on a farm where animals were always part of daily life, and I have many years of hands-on experience caring for horses. At the moment, I care for two horses, taking care of their daily needs, and we frequently go on rides through nature.
In addition to animal care, I have experience with gardening and maintaining a vegetable garden, including planting, basic maintenance and harvesting. Growing up on a farm also means I am familiar with general farm tasks and daily chores, and I am not afraid of physical work or getting my hands dirty.
Professionally, I work as a child psychologist, which has given me strong skills in communication, responsibility, empathy and problem-solving. I am caring, patient and attentive, and I work well both independently and as part of a team.
I also have some experience with small household maintenance tasks such as painting and repairing window frames. While I am open to helping with these kinds of jobs, my main interests are working with animals (especially horses) and outdoor or garden-related work.
I also enjoy cooking and have a strong interest in healthy, nutritious food. I like preparing fresh meals and I bake my own sourdough bread, which I really enjoy sharing with others.
I am an active and outdoors-oriented person. In my free time I enjoy road cycling, horse riding, mountain biking and hiking, and I feel most at home in nature.
I do not yet have formal Workaway experience, but I have traveled extensively through South America, Europe and South Africa. Last summer I went on a horse riding holiday in Andalusia, where I stayed on a farm surrounded by animals, mountains and nature, ate fresh food from the garden, and spent my days with and around horses. This experience made me realize how happy I am in this type of environment.
I would describe myself as an independent, caring, active and social woman who enjoys working hard, learning new skills and contributing positively to a place. I am reliable, motivated and enthusiastic about helping out where needed.
