Hi! My name is Anabel, I’m 20 years old and really excited to finally travel again! Since coming back from Australia, I have been working different jobs in Germany but now it’s time to reunite with the ocean and practice my surfing skills! Down under, I absolutely fell in love with the surfing lifestyle and I would be thrilled to meet other people who share my passion and maybe can teach me a thing or two about the sport : ))
I would describe myself as an optimistic and reliable person who always embraces a challenge. I need music to survive and can never hold back from singing out loud to my favourite songs. I really enjoy camping and spending time in nature. It is important to me to respect and protect our planet and I would like to learn more about sustainability. I got a long way to go when it comes to puctuality and putting things off until the last minute but then again I can work well under pressure. I think one of my biggest strengths is empathy.
It is my dream to work in a surfcamp, whether it is as a receptionist or cook or housekeeper. I have some experience in hospitality settings. In Australia I worked at a restaurant called Zambrero’s for a long time, practicing my small talk and multitasking skills. Before that, I was a riding instructor and a cashier for a waterpark in Germany. Something that I learned during my gap year in Australia is to thrive in different environments and adapt to all kinds of situations. That's why I think I would manage well in the dynamic environment of a surfcamp :) I’m a little scared yet excited to step out of my comfort zone again and make memories for life during my next solo travel adventure!
