Hi there!
I'm Ambre, new to Workaway and very happy to join. I come from France and I just turned 25 in March.
After getting a Master's degree in film production and filmaking in 2024 and getting my first jobs in the industry as a camera assistant in 2025, in early 2026 I've realised that I don' feel aligned with this career anymore. I have figured out that I deeply care about social and envrionmental matters, and the wellbeing of the living world. So now I'd like to learn skills that can directly help other people and Workaway seems to be the perfect place for that!
I'm mutipassionate and currently really interested in learning to teach labguages (English and French). I see learning languages as a doorway to new cultures and connections.
I love: learning about people and languages, playing the guitar and listening to music, which has always been a big part of my life, making photographs of my friends and trips on film, hiking in the mountains, eating delicious meals, reading essays and si-fi — Dune (F. Herbert) and the Dispossessed (U. K. Le Guin) are my favourites — long lists, and many more things. -

Language teaching: I can help teach French and English. I am a beginner in teaching, had a first experience as a private English tutor for a 12 yo kid, and am eager to learn about teaching approaches. Teaching is a skill I'm most interested in learning this year as I have always wanted to pass on knowledge.
Photography and videography: Having studied filmmaking at university and learned how to manage a film shoot, use cameras and shape light. I have also developed a love for photography, both digital and analog, as a hobby.
Technology: I'm really good at understanding, learning and helping with computers and technologies in general. This comes from being a videogame enthusiast since childhood, self-taught on various software programmes (video and photo editing, basic programming) and my studies in audiovisual technologies.
Music: I play the guitar and I love music in general.
Physical work: I've worked as a technician on movie sets, so I'm comfortable with moving a lot and carrying stuff around. I also practise Krav Maga and free boxing.
