Hi I’m Alejandra but tend to go by Ale 😊! I’ve live in Texas and have traveled a bit through the US and Europe. The reason I signed up for Workaway is because I would like the opportunity to get to know new people, explore new places and learn about other cultures and traditions. I enjoy all sorts of DIY projects/activities and have basic skills for hands on projects.

I have knowledge in arc welding and basic woodworking. I also have experience working with young children and teenagers as I have worked at a public school for 2 years. I am bilingual (English/Spanish) and I’m currently trying to learn Italian. I have a 120 hr TEFL certification and would be more than happy to help you with practicing either English or Spanish.

My work experience includes working in food prep (Food Handler Certified), being a cashier, customer service, operating a forklift, co-hosting and cleaning an AirBNB, teaching 9th-12th grade mathematics, and being a substitute teacher for all grade levels.

I have volunteer experience doing fundraisers for my local Catholic church, and the local high school.

I am a firm believer that you can learn something from everyone and from every experience.

I would like to learn more about content creation and budget travel, I would be more than happy to photograph or video anything for you to further improve on that.
