Description
I am finally achieving my girlhood dreams of exploring Asia, and am looking for unique opportunities to connect with local people and fellow travelers. I have been living in the U.S. state of Hawai'i where I was working on a coffee farm and in the service industry. I have lots of experience in the coffee world & have also worked in sports technology previously. However, I just quit my jobs to explore a new chapter focused on self-growth and holistic health.
Ideally, I am traveling to Japan, Nepal, Indonesia, Vietnam, and the Philippines.
I have volunteered in many ways over the years: organic farming, ecotourism, hospitality, working with children, animal shelters, community gardens, social media marketing, art centers, tree planting, food drives, etc. I am very passionate about sustainably sourced food, and love to get my hands dirty! I am hoping to learn more about organic gardening, locally sourced food preparation, mushroom cultivation, and regional techniques.
I also have a creative side & enjoy painting murals or doing art projects with kids.
I spend lots of time reading, doodling, trying to get outside, spending time with friends, dancing & enjoying good music, and cooking too. My most recent hobby explorations are trying new dance classes, hot yoga, & pottery.
Overall, I am hoping to really connect with others & learn on this journey through Workaway. -

Karimunjawa feels like the dreamiest island fairytale.

First of all, the small village itself is so special. The people there are warm and kind, and it’s wonderful to be in this community.
The children were so fun to spend time with, and were so resilient and smart. Two of the boys even taught me … read more
