Description
Hi! I'm Advait, a robotics engineer with a soft spot for travel and hands-on work. I've lived in quite a few places around the world, and my most recent stop was Japan, where I worked on agricultural robotics, which gave me a real appreciation for farm life and the people who keep it running.
I love getting out into the fields and working alongside people rather than just passing through as a tourist. There's something about farm work that teaches you more about a place and its culture than any guidebook could.
Right now I'm based in Germany finishing my Master's, and I'm working on improving my German (currently around B1 level). Workaway feels like the perfect way to keep learning the language naturally, through everyday conversations and shared work, rather than just from a textbook.
I'm reliable, easy to get along with, and happy to pitch in wherever help is needed, whether that's physical farm work, general upkeep, or lending a hand with anything technical.
Looking forward to connecting with hosts and learning as I go! -

More details about your skills
I'm a robotics engineer, so I'm pretty comfortable with power tools, wiring, soldering, and general hands-on fixing. I've also done a beekeeping course, so I don't mind hanging around bees — though I'll admit they still spook me sometimes!
I've worked on farms before (most recently in Japan) and enjoy the physical, get-your-hands-dirty kind of work. Having lived in several countries, I adapt fast and get along easily with new people and routines.
I'm currently working on my German (B1, aiming for B2), so I'm always up for practicing with hosts and locals. Overall I'm reliable, easygoing, and happy to pitch in wherever needed. -

For any non-German speakers worried about the language barrier, don't be, Sabine speaks perfectly good English, and Stefan does too (with a bit of a British accent, haha). Bosse and Hennings were also great fun to work with, and honestly good … read more
