Hi, my name is Adrián, I am 43 years old and live in Madrid. I studied architecture but I have been working as a secondary school teacher for the last 12 years. I teach Maths, Physics, Chemistry, Technology... I speak Spanish and English as well as a little French and Arabic (I also learnt a little Thai a few years back when I travelled to Thailand to learn some Muay Thai).

I now live with Cristian, my 13 year old foster son. He is a lovely kid. He is not too interested in studying and although we are working on it... I'd like for us to experience new skills during the summer. He speaks Spanish and a little English. He has been happy to help around the house whenever I've had to do any work, but the opportunities are very limited in our small flat, mostly hanging shelves and assembling Ikea furniture.

I like running, reading and learning new things. As for Cris, he loves football and playing Fortnite. We both enjoy playing board and card games as well as assembling legos and puzzles. Cris has just started building a Meccano set.

It was our first workaway experience as hosts with father and son and was very good and I highly recommend giving it a try! Both got a good grip on the nettles in the garden, took great care of the chickens and the stable cleaning. Panda liked the walks with both of them. My 14 year old so and I spent three weeks in Fritzlar with the Sobirey family in August 2024. The stay made a delightful vacation.

My thirteen year old kid, a friend and I spent three weeks at Duncan's in August 2023. We had a great experience. We worked for more or less 5 hours a day, five days a week. Adrian, Yoana and Chris came to stay for a few weeks and managed to get a few months worth of work done in that time, along with having some fun along the way! Lovely people all three, hard working and conscientious, polite agreeable and really really helpful.
