Description
Olá! We are José Pedro (from Portugal) and Electra (from Brazil), a multicultural couple on a global sabbatical. After years of working in the corporate world, we decided to take time to explore, learn, and give back. Our journey is not just about discovering new places but about immersing ourselves in different cultures, supporting meaningful projects, and exchanging knowledge along the way.
During this sabbatical year, we are focusing on social impact, aiming to understand how NGOs and grassroots organizations operate, the challenges they tackle and face, and how digital technologies can help scale their efforts globally. With several years of leadership experience, managing and mentoring teams, we are eager to apply our expertise in business strategy, process optimization, marketing, and digital solutions to actively support impactful projects.
We will be traveling through Namibia, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, Malawi, Tanzania, Rwanda, Uganda, Kenya, Sri Lanka, India, Vanuatu, New Caledonia, Fiji, Cook Islands, and French Polynesia, and we’re excited to connect with inspiring people and organizations along the way!

José - I would like to add that I am passionate about football (soccer) and have played professionally for several years until the age of 18 when I went to university. I have also lead a volunteering program in the Maldives where I had to create a football team from scratch and teach kids and adults for 3 months
Electra - I am passionate about entertainment and have worked in the industry for a significant amount of time. Aligned with this more playful and creative side, I dedicated eight years to theater, an experience that deeply shaped my approach to work and life. I love bringing the vibrant, dynamic, and expansive spirit of theater into everything I do and to everyone I meet, infusing creativity, energy, and a sense of storytelling into my projects and collaborations.
