Description
I am a university student studying animal science, and my dream is to become an animal-assisted therapist. Being around animals motivates me deeply, and I believe every experience on a farm helps me grow both personally and professionally.
I had the chance to spend two weeks on a farm where I cared for calves, helped with cowshed management, fed sheep and goats, and looked after dogs. I truly enjoyed the responsibility of caring for the animals, and I worked with dedication every day. That experience made me realize how fulfilling it is to combine hard work with my passion for animals.
I am a hardworking and reliable person who enjoys starting the day early and contributing steadily. I am eager to learn new tasks, respectful of instructions, and happy to cooperate with hosts and fellow Workawayers. What brings me happiness is simple: working with animals, supporting the farm, and sharing meaningful cultural exchanges with people who value nature and community life.

I can speak in Korean(mother language) and English. I am interested in learning languages so I've been studying Japanese for a year and half and learned Deutsch when I was high school student. I don't have enough chance to speak in English in my country so I hope to get used to speak English during volunteering and teach my language and a little Japanese if the host want to learn.

More details about your skills
During my farm internship, I gained valuable hands-on experience in caring for animals and maintaining a clean, safe environment for them. I looked after young calves by feeding them milk, monitoring their health, and providing extra care to those that needed attention. I also helped care for other animals such as sheep, goats, and farm dogs, making sure they were well-fed and exercised.
A big part of my role was maintaining the barns and animal areas—cleaning pens, collecting manure, sweeping feed alleys, and ensuring that the living spaces stayed hygienic and comfortable. I also took part in general farm maintenance tasks such as grass cutting and supporting daily routines.
These experiences taught me to be patient, responsible, and consistent when working with animals. I am confident in my ability to support an animal shelter by providing reliable care, keeping the environment clean, and giving animals the attention and respect they deserve.
