Description
I’m Lin, a university lecturer from Thailand who loves traveling, meeting new people, and learning about different cultures. I believe every connection brings something new and meaningful to life, and I’m excited to be part of this community!

I’m a big animal lover, dogs are my favorite, but I’ve also had the joy of caring for cats, geese, chickens, birds, and fish over the years. Spending time with animals is something I truly enjoy and feel connected to.

When it comes to helping out, I’m all in! I’ve done everything from housekeeping to gardening, both at home and during my time overseas. Back then, while studying abroad, I took on various jobs, which taught me a lot about hard work, adaptability, and teamwork. I’m no stranger to rolling up my sleeves and getting things done, and I find it really fulfilling.

I’m also passionate about Thai traditional medicine and always happy to share what I know or learn about other wellness traditions. Trying new activities and helping out wherever I can keeps me refreshed and opens up my perspective on life.

I can’t wait to meet amazing hosts and fellow Workawayers, exchange stories, and make some incredible memories. Let’s create a fun and meaningful experience together!

I bring a wide range of skills and experiences that I hope will be valuable to hosts. I’ve done many types of work both at home and overseas, including housekeeping, gardening, and animal care. I’ve taken care of dogs, cats, geese, chickens, birds, and fish, so I’m comfortable handling a variety of animals.

I have hands-on experience maintaining a clean and organized environment, which comes from both my personal life and my professional work in laboratories. As a university lecturer teaching microbiology, I understand the importance of cleanliness, attention to detail, and following procedures. These habits extend to all areas of my work, ensuring everything is kept in excellent condition.

I’m also passionate about gardening and regularly care for plants at home. Whether it’s planting, weeding, or general garden maintenance, I find it rewarding and refreshing. Additionally, I have an interest in Thai traditional medicine and am always happy to share my knowledge or learn new things.

During my time studying abroad, I worked various jobs that helped me develop adaptability and strong problem-solving skills. I’m a fast learner who can easily take on new tasks and responsibilities, and I’m always willing to go the extra mile to help.

With my reliable, hardworking attitude and diverse skill set, I’m confident I can be a great fit for a variety of tasks. I look forward to contributing, learning, and making meaningful connections!

I’m someone who loves trying new things, which is why I decided to join Workaway. It’s such an exciting way to step out of my usual routine and dive into something completely different. Whenever I get the chance, I like to explore new experiences, whether that’s learning a new skill, helping out on a project, or meeting people from different backgrounds.

In my free time, I enjoy cooking, gardening, and spending time with animals. I also love pushing myself to try things outside my comfort zone because I believe that’s where the real growth happens. Plus, who knows? These new experiences might even inspire some creativity in my work—life has a funny way of connecting the dots like that,

I’ve been looking forward to this Workaway journey because it’s a chance to contribute, learn, and make some amazing memories along the way. There’s so much to see and do in life, and I can’t wait to see where this experience takes me!

Have you ever heard of the law of attraction? It doesn’t apply only to objects - it works with people and animals too.

I’m incredibly grateful to the kind and loving couple who welcomed me into their home, and I’m thankful I chose to come here. Their three beautifully trained dogs brought so much joy during my stay. I spent ten wonderful days in… read more their home - my very first Workaway experience - and it left an unforgettable impression on me. This wasn’t just a place to stay, but a space to share, learn, and grow together in a spirit of friendship and mutual care.

One of my favorite moments each day was the morning walk with the dogs along the Yodo River - a river that holds both life and history. The riverside near their home has become a lively, peaceful space for locals to walk, jog, fish, and unwind. From there, you can enjoy views of Osaka city, and if you're lucky, hear someone playing a musical instrument, adding charm to the atmosphere. Sometimes people fly kites or go camping nearby. I learned that in August, this area becomes one of the best spots to watch fireworks. I can only imagine how magical that must be.

This isn’t a five-star hotel - but what you’ll find here is something far richer. The couple has created a clean, well-organized, and loving home environment that goes above and beyond typical standards for households with pets. The dogs are not a burden at all -they’re part of a well-balanced, thoughtfully cared-for home. Their commitment and generosity - both physical and emotional - create a space where people and animals live together in harmony. Anyone who loves animals will understand the joy of caring for such pure spirits. The love you give them always comes back in the form of deep, unwavering loyalty.

What’s even more inspiring is that all three dogs were adopted from shelters. They were given a second chance to have a happy life in a home filled with love and purpose. And it doesn’t stop there - this couple extends the same kindness to people around them, offering help where it’s needed, with genuine compassion. It’s something I truly admire.

During my stay, I also had the chance to meet another Workawayer - a young woman with many talents. I wish her every success in her studies and future career. Her singing voice deserves a stage like Britain’s Got Talent -I mean that sincerely.

And yes - the food! Everyone talks about how delicious it is, and for good reason. Each meal was made with care and attention. As for household tasks, I don’t even consider them “work.” They’re just part of everyday life - things we all do at home anyway. I was more than happy to contribute.

I’ve visited Japan many times before, mostly for business trips. But this time was different. It didn’t feel like I came here to “work.” Helping around the house felt natural, and what I received in return - friendship, connection, peace - was worth so much more. I also had plenty of time to focus on my own computer work and explore the Kansai area during this beautiful season. My housemate even managed to keep up with her online classes during nighttime hours here.

To the lovely couple: thank you once again for creating such a warm and welcoming home. Your love, your responsibility, and your laughter made this experience truly special. I’ll always remember my time here with a smile. Keep in touch!!
