Hello! My name is Vincent and I came from the very small island of Guernsey (it's okay if you have never heard of us before!).
I am completely new to the workaway programme but have heard great things. I'm interested workaway because I love meeting new people and want to experience different ways of living. I have been in full time work for the last 5 years and although I'm going traveling, I know I like having some routine and a project to work on with other people.
I like to think I'm an easy going person. I'm always excited to try new foods and am happy sleeping in most places!
For the last 5+ years I've worked with children and young adults through Youth Work in my island community. I love supporting people to improve their lives and achieve positive change. I have mostly worked for charities which means working with people who are motivated by their passion, not money. Unfortunately, I lack physical skills in construction but I am interested and want to learn. I have some experience with gardening and decorating.
I have interests in outdoor activities including coastal foraging. I am particularly interested in identifying and foraging fungi. I have experience with outdoor and indoor climbing. I also love history and politics.

I have experience working with young people at risk of homelessness, this has including preparing rooms for them to move into. This has included moving belongings, painting, cleaning, basic DIY and building furniture.
I have an allotment so have some experience planting seedings, tilling, maintenance and composting.
Working in Youth Work, I have experience organising group activities and projects for children. Promoting events through Social Media and print.
I am always excited to learn new skills!
