I have always loved to learn new things and to see the world. I enjoy encountering new cultures, navigating new surroundings (although that can be stressful, too), and connecting with people. I really enjoy talking to people and learning something- about their lives, what they are doing, quirks of the area...

I am a small animal veterinarian, currently winding down my career, but am still very committed to animal issues, for both domestic and wild animals. In addition to dogs and cats, have worked with farm animals, raptors, domestic pet birds, and small mammals. Ideally, I would like to blend a cultural and language exchange with work with animals or in conservation/ environmental issues. I'm also an aspiring bird watcher and bread baker!

I am an active person, and really enjoy walking, hiking, biking. I also like to bake- bread, cookies, etc. I'm a quiet person, and much prefer in depth conversation with a small group, rather than city life.
