Hi everyone!
Lali (Maria) and Torben here, farmer/cycling enthusiasts. We are from Ireland (Torben) and Spain (Lali). We're currently doing a cycle trip around Spain. We are excited to meet new people and experience different ways of living.
We are both outdoor orientated people. We both love everything green and nature based. Always happy to lend a hand and get stuck into any job. Lali is a geologist by studies. They are passionate about tunnel crop production and enjoy spending time around plants and animals. I (Torben) am an Engineer by studies. Have worked as a bike mechanic in the past but now also dedicate myself to growing vegetables. We both like to keep things organic and simple. Lali is a vegetarian. The accomodation provided by Marc and Carlota was brilliant and the food was very good (delicious omelette for breakfast with fresh baked bread and their own olive oil, fantastic lunches too). Silke and Nick are amazing people with very open hearts. they made us feel very welcome. We had a great time at their place. there was some variety in the the jobs and we always felt comfortable to ask questions and learn about what we were doing. Despite the bad weather and the change of work plans, Torben helped us promptly in what has possible and in what we ask him. He is a good helper, but a bit slow, when he is on a task by himself.

I spent 10 days with the family and had a very good time. Even though the weather was bad which made working on the quinta difficult. They are very warm and welcoming. They organised my time very well and I was able to make use of of my free time to explore the area. I wish you all the best with the quinta in the future. Torben
