Hi, my name is Timo. I am 32 years old and originally from Germany.
My father is from Malaysia, so I am half Malay, although I have not had the chance yet to explore much of that side of my heritage.

I am a calm and easygoing person who is always curious and eager to learn new things. I would describe myself as a happy and positive person, and according to my zodiac sign, also quite emotional and empathetic. I tend to avoid conflicts whenever possible and prefer to keep things peaceful and relaxed.

There are times when I like to take things slow, especially in the mornings. I would not call myself a morning person, but I can get up early when needed.

I grew up on a farm until I was about 13 years old, where I learned many practical skills and developed a strong work ethic.

I am open to all kinds of sports and physical activities, and I also enjoy playing board games or card games in good company.

I have a big interest in technology, such as 3D printing, computers, and all kinds of technical projects. I also enjoy designing things in 3D programs and experimenting with creative ideas. Photography has been a passion of mine for years, and you can see some of my work on my Instagram page:

Most of my experience is based on practical and manual work. I completed a vocational training as a construction mechanic (metalworking) and later worked in the automotive industry.
There, I was involved in building industrial vehicles from start to finish.

My skills:

- All kinds of metalworking
- Car repair and maintenance
- Electrical work on vehicles
- Basic knowledge of farming tasks

Driving license for car + trailer and motorcycle, and I can operate most other vehicles with a short introduction

I’m also interested in many other things that might not count as professional skills, but that I enjoy learning about. :)

What else ...

My plan is to travel for about one year through Southeast Asia. The rough route will start in Malaysia, then continue through Indonesia, back to Malaysia, and then on to Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, and finally Laos. The route between Thailand and Cambodia is not fully certain yet, so I will see how things develop along the way. Nothing is set in stone — I like to stay flexible and open to changes.

The main reason for this journey is not completely fixed. For me, it is mostly about growing as a person, learning more about myself, and getting to know my roots and my father’s culture in Malaysia. At the same time, I want to discover the different cultures and ways of life in each country I visit.

I also hope to meet new people along the way and make real friendships.
To be honest, I am not very good at keeping in touch or maintaining social connections, but I hope that during this journey I can learn and improve in that area too.
