  • Description

Hey, I’m Thomas, a 22-year-old French Master’s student in architecture and urban planning, currently studying in Bordeaux at the Institut d’Urbanisme et d'Aménagement.

I’ve always been driven by a strong curiosity for places and the people who shape them. After spending a year abroad in Quebec (2024–2025), I’m now preparing for a 6-month exchange in Hanoi (August to January), where I’ll study at the National University of Architecture.

I’ve completed several Workaway experiences in Sweden, Romania, and the Gaspé Peninsula in Canada. Through these, I’ve learned to be reliable, hands-on, and fully involved in daily life. I’m comfortable with practical tasks like cleaning, organizing spaces, basic cooking, gardening, outdoor work, painting, or helping on small construction projects, and I’m always willing to learn new skills quickly.

Beyond my studies, I’m deeply engaged in creative practices. I study theater at the Bordeaux Conservatory (improvisation), play music (guitar, piano, harmonica), and write regularly. My first novel, “Tout ce qui brûle finit par s’éteindre”, is being published this year by Hello Éditions. I can also contribute to creative or communication-related tasks, such as writing, storytelling, or helping with simple design and social media.

I enjoy simple and grounded experiences: bivouacking, traveling light, and meeting people along the way. Hitchhiking across Europe, from Paris to Bulgaria, taught me how to connect easily with others, adapt to new environments, and live well in shared spaces. I’m used to community life, respectful, and easy to get along with.

I speak French (native), English (fluent), and some German, and I’m always happy to communicate and integrate into new environments.

I’m someone who takes initiative, adapts quickly, and genuinely enjoys contributing to collective projects while sharing meaningful moments.

In the long run, I dream of learning how to sail and exploring the world through slow, intentional travel.

As part of my personal commitments, I went on a roadtrip from Angers to Bordeaux in France for a week in August 2021 with another young person of my age to meet those who want to change the world (in any way). After this adventure we decided to make a short film about it. "Convergence", inspired by the films of Cyril Dion (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ntoyZmUFnlQ)
I love doing autstop. I travelled around the France by autostop.
