Hi there!

My name is Thijs and I am a student at the Radboud University. I study Environment and Sustainability and in my free time I pursue my passion for MMA and hang out with my friends.

For now I plan to find a Workaway from July till September or October. I hope to find a destination where I can work a project spanning this period. I also hope to meet many new people, learn about them and their ways of life. So a destination that allows for many Workawayers would be ideal. Learning new things is what drives me and brings me happiness. I am a curious person and would love to be involved with things I do not know much about. I love to be in nature and be able to disconnect from the more fast paced life at university. I want to help to the best of my ability at your home and I am open for a large variety of work :)

I like to cook and have always wanted a garden where I can grow my own vegetables and herbs.

I think knowing a language is very beneficial. I am always interested to learn more about languages. Languages which I would like to learn are French, German, Turkish or Finnish.

As a side job I work in healthcare. I care for elderly people and help them with tasks that are too much for them. This ranges from basic households tasks (like cleaning, vacuuming) but also handyman work and yard work.

I have also briefly worked in (de-)construction. I am physically fit and like to build things. I am great at working in teams, I am eager to learn and take up tasks quickly.

In the past I have also organized a festival surrounding sustainability and I have done volunteer work with refugees. Both these experiences have increased my awareness of social issues and in the future I would like to find work regarding this topic.
