Description
Hello, my name is Zuzana and I’m from Prague, Czech Republic.

I have a background in business and economics, and I’ve worked in customer service, sales, art-field and hospitality. My last full-time job was in a 5-star hotel as a guest relations manager. But somehow I recognized this is not what I want to live anymore. I m into a slow and simple life outside the city. I m a creative soul and I like being closer to nature. Everyone has a interesting life story, I like to listen and share and I love connecting with people and learning about different cultures and their personal stories.

My personality is calm, but energetic,artistic, emphatic, solid, kind-hearted and I love humor. I enjoy physical work, I’m sporty, I do yoga almost 20 years. I m independent, non-judgmental and I value good energy and trust.

I m currently looking to leave the city life behind and move towards a more self-sufficient nature-connected lifestyle. After many years in Prague, I feel that urban life no longer nourishes me. I deeply wish to live closer to nature and sun, in a quieter, cleaner enviroment, and to contribute to meaningful project that align with this intention. My future goal is to eventually create a space of my own.

I have strong practical skills and a good eye for detail. I m experienced in taking care of houses, doing light maintenance, bring new ideas, decorating interiors to create cozy atmosphere. I recently painted my entire apartment myself.

I have family house in the countryside, where I take care of the garden or prepare firewood for the winter etc. I love to be around animals and have a lot of experience with dogs.

I worked as a au-pair many years, in many families, in different countries and in my home town as well. I enjoy working with children, I like to support their belief in the safety of life and develop their potential.

I also enjoy working with leather and handcrafting items like belts and collars and leashes for dogs.

I also work with photography, in creative unique way.

I love to prepare healthy dishes, especially with fresh produce, creating nurishing natural food is something that brings me joy.

I m a certified masseuse for sports and other massages. I work with the person in a holistic way, as everything is connected to everything.

I enjoy living simply/slowly, being close to nature, and learning/see new things every day. I’m a creative and reflective person – I write, draw, I love music, dancing, meditation and meaningful conversations. I value silence as much as having fun. I respect other people’s space ( not only that one outside, but withing oneself). I find satisfaction in the balance.

I went to Valeria's home for 10 days, in August/September. Level of her communication is high 10, she is very friendly and warm hearted person. She picked me up at the bus station and after my arrival she showed me everything, she wanted from me. Which was gardening, taking care of the pool and around, doing trash and light cleaning tasks around… read more the house and washing, ironing, feeding cats and that is probably it. Everything was clear and simple.
The room for you is tiny, but cozy, with small office upstairs. The room has a big fan and I used my own internet data (was not problem for me), as I could not catch hers there. Otherwise in the common areas of the house, the internet is everywhere.
The window of my room was located directly above a machine room. The motors there would occasionally switch on and off at irregular times during the night or early morning. If you prefer to sleep with the window or door open for fresh air/during the night, be aware that you may hear some noise from the machine room below, which is open, without door. For people, who are heavy sleepers and not bothered by such things, it is not an issue at all. I told this to Valeria and I think it was slightly better, but of course it is not possible to turn it completely off. :-)) I appreciate that she tried to regulate it.
During my stay, the food arrangement was quite simple, mostly fresh fruits and vegetables were available, with some packaged salami and cheese from the supermarket,pasta and rice, musli, nuts, eggs...If you are expecting a cultural exchange through home-cooked meals or traditional Italian cuisine, I do not have experienced. I guess it was influenced by holidays and timing, as Valeria or me was not home always, so we did not match. Great coffee is always available. :-)
The house is located right next to a four - lane road. Traffic is constant both, during the day and night. So sound of cars can be heard even with the large fence and solid gate. If you travel to hear nothing, this might be considered.
As the house is not located in the city, you will need to use public transport/bus, to get anywhere. Bus station is very close to the house, I just want to mention, that remember, that bus station is in the middle of the road, not on the side. :-) You can reach the city center in about ten minutes. On the way back, the buses can be a bit tricky, they do not run directly back from the center same opposite route, but instead make the full loop of the entire route. This means that while the ride to the center takes less than 10 minutes, the return trip can take up to an hour. As an alternative, it is possible to walk from the center, along the busy road, around 45 minutes. In heat I do not recommend. Please note that there is no Uber or Bolt available in this area, and taxis from the center can cost around 15-20 euros. Therefore it is important to plan your return trip carefully, especially if you are staying out late in the city. If you would like to go to the sea, for a walk or to visit the nearby villages without constantly dealing with the inconvenient bus system, renting a car or a scooter can be a great option, which gives you freedom. Around Catania, there are an incredible number of small villages, that are charming with amazing vibes, where you can spend wonderful time and enjoy local food in little cozy eateries.
So, on the end, I would like to sincerely thank Valerie for her kindness, hospitality, and warm attitude again. She has a beautiful garden with a swimming pool and wonderfully designed living spaces-everything is truly top-notch. I m very grateful for her friendly and calm, welcoming behavior. Both Valeria's kids are great people, very polite and nice to be around.
Every guest's experience is personal and depends on their own needs. This was my own perspective and overall everything was very pleasant, kind and enjoyable.
